A tree-planting ceremony in memory of David Lun, long-time Massey chemistry staff member, was held on 12 August for friends, family, colleagues and students to come together to celebrate David's life and contribution to the Massey community.
The Massey University Foundation was humbled to have received a gift of $50,000 from the Lun family to establish the David Lun Future Scientist Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship will support students studying in the School of Food Technology and Natural Sciences where David was a senior lab technician.
David is remembered in the school for his dedication to his work, his commitment to education, and his passion for helping students succeed. "The school is delighted to have this scholarship to continue David’s work and to remember a much-missed colleague," says Professor Jamie Quinton, Head of the School of Food Technology and Natural Sciences.
