Remembering David Lun

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of David Lun from the School of Food Technology and Natural Sciences at Massey University. David was a research technician within the chemistry group. He completed both his Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) and Master of Science (Chemistry) in organic synthesis at Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa Massey University in 1997 and 2000 respectively. David remained at Massey following his study and had nearly completed 25 years working with us.

David is remembered for his exceptional skills in synthetic chemistry, his team work ethic and for his dedication to chemistry research. David was efficient with chemical processes and procedures, making sure that laboratories and equipment were well run, in good working order and training both students and academic staff when needed. He supported both staff and students with their research projects, and always with a smile. David was a key team member, known for his unfailing support, adaptability, helpfulness, capability and his significant contribution to chemistry at Massey.
