We would like to congratulate our newest chemistry graduates who crossed the stage during the May Graduations at Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa Massey University! We wish them all the best for their careers and look forward to hearing about their future achievements.
Brodie Matheson has joined the School of Food Technology and Natural Sciences at Massey University as a Senior Research Technician. Brodie completed his BSc in chemistry and physics, BSc (Hons) in chemistry and PhD in inorganic chemistry at Massey University in 2018, 2019, and 2025, respectively.
Congratulations to PhD student Payman Bagheri who completed his first year confirmation in May. Peyman's project title is Design, synthesis and evaluation of inhibitors of APOBEC3 enzymes. He is supervised by Vyacheslav Filichev and Geoff Jameson.
PhD students Paridhi Chittora and Milad Nooshadi gave presentations about their research projects at the April meeting of the MacDiarmid Institute MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology. Miladi is funded by the MacDiarmid Institute Centre for Research Excellence to work on metal organic frameworks for methane and carbon dioxide capture with Shane Telfer. Paridhi is funded by the institute to work on Pickering emulsions based on polymer coacervates with Catherine Whitby.
