We are delighted that Professor Christian Hartinger and Professor Patricia Hunt have each been awarded an inaugural New Zealand Mana Tūārangi Distinguished Researcher Fellowship! These fellowships, administered by The Royal Society Te Apārangi on behalf of MBIE, have been established to support successful researchers with international reputations to make long term contributions to their field.

Professor Christian Hartinger (Auckland Branch) has been awarded a Fellowship to study the interactions between metal complexes and proteins to unlock applications in medicine and industry.

Professor Patricia Hunt (Wellington Branch) has been awarded a Fellowship to use quantum chemical modelling to investigate ionic liquid micro-propulsion systems for mini satellites.
