Benjamin Spector-Watts is a 3rd year PhD student studying chemistry at Victoria University of Wellington under the supervision of Dr Luke Liu and Dr Joanne Harvey. His current studies focus on the synthesis of porous materials and frameworks, with a focus on energy-storage applications. Before beginning his research at VUW, Ben was teaching at an international school in Bali, Indonesia. Outside of the lab, Ben is an avid hiker, board-game enthusiast and rock climber.
