Mohamed Sharafeldin

Mohamed Sharafeldin is a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, University of Otago. After finishing his PhD in 2019 at the University of Connecticut, USA (with Prof James Rusling), Mohamed moved to University of Oxford, UK (with Prof Jason Davis) where he worked as a postdoctoral research associate between 2019 and 2022. Mohamed is interested in the development of biosensors for different applications. He specialises in integrating modern microfluidic fabrication techniques into electrochemical and optical platforms for production of highly sensitive, scalable, low-cost sensors.
